Therapy

We all need someone to talk to sometimes.

Psychotherapy Session

Life presents us with countless challenges, from navigating complex relationships and raising children to managing career demands and overcoming personal setbacks.

Remember, we’re not designed to carry life’s burdens alone. Seeking support allows us to process our emotions, gain fresh perspectives, and build resilience.

Genesis Clinical Solutions offers a safe and supportive environment for individuals, couples, children, and youth to address their mental health and relationship needs.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a great way to work through personal challenges and improve your overall mental health. It is suitable for anyone who is looking to address specific issues or improve their mental health, regardless of age, gender, or background.

"The principle aim of psychotherapy is not to transport one to an impossible state of happiness, but to help the individual acquire steadfastness and patience in the face of suffering."

What it Can Do For You

Without support, minor mental health challenges can spiral out of control and cause long-term harm. A Registered Psychotherapist can help you change your negative thoughts, overcome obstacles, and develop coping strategies to improve your mental well-being.

Therapy isn't magic.

Therapy is a journey of self-reflection. We work together to understand where you come from and how your past experiences have influenced who you are today. These insights give you the clarity you need to break negative cycles and move forward with purpose.

How it Works

1

Assessment

At Genesis, we use a variety of techniques to understand the individual and how they interact with the rest of society.

During the initial counselling session, we ask questions to help determine the core issues you desire help with. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions of your own.

2

Counselling Frequency

Once we establish the issues you would like to explore further, the next step is to decide on the frequency of sessions.

3

 Interventions

The intervention chosen will meet the needs of the client and the identified problems. Some strategies that are used are:

  • Conflict resolution/ Management

  • Mindfulness

  • 10 Components

  • Person Centered Therapy

  • Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy

  • Ecological Systems Model

Insurance

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan.

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

A receipt will be given for you to submit to your insurance company.

You don't have to wait for a crisis.

If you feel an issue is causing you distress or is interfering with your daily life, it could be time to seek therapy. Negative thoughts and emotions can heavily impact your physical health.

If you have experienced a significant shift in your life, such as a loss, change in employment, or traumatic event, psychotherapy can help you find ways to feel more in control.
